Get the best out of OBAKE by following the tips below. We recommend that you read them carefully before using the software.

  • LAYOUT and USABILITY
    • You can change the LAYOUT of the entire application. See SETUP - LAYOUT.
    • We recommend deactivating the OBAKE Context-Help when you are already familiar with the suite. See SETUP - USABILITY.
    • If you use Windows 8.1 or 10, we recommend to disable OBAKE WINDOWS ARE TOPMOST. See SETUP - USABILITY.


  • PERFORMANCE
    • You may accelerate file operations if disabling CHART and GRID. It can be done on-demand or through SETUP - LAYOUT.
    • If you use certificates on TOKEN or HSM, be aware of a deficient performance to handle many files due to the hardware intrinsic of some devices and networks (if applicable).
    • There is no differences in performance between operations conducted by FILE EXPLORER and the OBAKE files interface, except by the pointed above.


  • MS-WINDOWS
    • Depending on your system and anti-malware tool, OBAKE may be mistaken as ransomware due to its encryption and sanitization procedures being blocked or deleted from your system. Therefore, we suggest placing OBAKE on the "safe list" of your anti-malware tool. Obs.: OBAKE has its integrity verification routines, and any change caused by malware or viruses is immediately detected, and the user informed.
