Export your Certificate

Note: the certificates that OBAKE exports and imports are the user's PUBLIC CERTIFICATE, which means that there is NO RISK AT ALL in sharing these files - precisely because of this characteristic, they are called and must be "public". You can share your certificate exported by OBAKE even on Facebook or repositories like One-Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. Nobody can open any file or impersonate you with this certificate. Companies are even encouraged to create public repositories for these employees credentials to facilitate people exchange between different areas and sectors..
Before someone wants to exchange data or information with you, you must provide YOUR certificate to her/him. So, the first step is to EXPORT your certificate and send the file (or TEXT block) to destination.
See below how export you credential to anyone:
Exporting any Certificate by File
- This is the preferred method for exporting any certificate in OBAKE. You can send the file by any channel, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, e-mail, etc.
- Open the CERTIFICATES module.
- Click on the GEAR button and select AS ATTACHMENT.
- Select YOUR CERTIFICATE and, if necessary, anyone else's certificate - there is no risk in exporting certificates that you have already received from a third party. This can be a useful time saver for groups of people. To select (and deselect) more than one certificate, click on them.
- Click on the EXPORT CERTIFICATE button.
- Select the folder you want to save the file.
- For each selected certificated, you will see a message the full path and filename of the exported credential. Remember: this credential can be freely copied or made available to anyone.
Exporting any Certificate by Text
- Open the CERTIFICATES module.
- Click on the GEAR button and select AS TEXT.
- Select YOUR CERTIFICATE and, if necessary, anyone else's certificate - there is no risk in exporting certificates that you have already received from a third party. This can be a useful time saver for groups of people. To select (and deselect) more than one certificate, click on them.
Note: avoid to select more than one credential at a time, as any further export will overwrite and erase the previous credential in the clipboard.
- Click on the EXPORT CERTIFICATE button.
- The following message will appear indicating the success of the operation . Remember: this credential can be freely copied or made available to anyone.
